Judith Van Rossum,
Founder and Principal

Judith Van Rossum is an Accountant with over 20 years experience in financial analyses and accounting. Her background includes a wide range of experiences, from tax staff with a “Big Four” accounting firm to treasurer and analyst for a major real estate developer. Since forming her consulting practice in 1998, Judith has worked with a broad range of clients in the real estate development, retail, financing, manufacturing, hospitality and agricultural industries. She has served as Acting Chief Financial Officer and worked alongside the Trustee in Bankruptcy in numerous reorganization matters.

1993 to 1998: Senior Manager, Budgeting and Forecasting, Circle K Corp, Tempe, Arizona – Responsible for development and reporting of all operating budgets for 2,300 owned and operated stores, 30 regional offices and the corporate headquarters with annual sales of $4 billion. Working closely with President, CFO and Divisional Presidents, designed and implemented forecasting model to project weekly sales with consistent results within 1% of actual.

1990 to 1993: Manager, Budgeting and Reporting, Franchise Finance Corp. (FFCA), Scottsdale, Arizona – Created cash flow forecast model for 18 publicly traded partnerships and 10 corporations with sales in excess of $120 million. Forecasting used to secure third party financing. Duties also included automating systems for timely SEC, lender and owner compliance and operational reporting.

1988 to 1990: Treasurer and Analyst, Mergers and Acquisitions, Transcontinental Properties, Scottsdale, Arizona – Responsible for all budgeting, accounting and financial reporting for major real estate developer. Duties included financial analysis on all merger and acquisition targets for projects ranging from $15 to 27 million.

1985 to 1988: Controller, Wolfswinkel Group, Inc., Phoenix, Arizona – Responsible for cash flow forecasting, accounting, project pro forma, profit participations, and calculations on carried interests and waterfall for 200 parcels. Duties included handling all escrow closings for purchases, sales and refinancings.

Cheryl A. Robins,
Financial Analyst


Cheryl Robins’ broad experience in managing business operations for several companies gives her the knowledge necessary to efficiently compile and analyze data for Van Rossum & Associates clients. In addition, Cheryl completes governmental filings, and quarterly and annual financial and lender reporting.

Julie A. Hoffman, MBA


Julie Hoffman serves Van Rossum & Associates clients in numerous ways, often acting as a contract controller. In this capacity, her duties include general financial accounting, review of bookkeeping entries, sales tax calculations and payments and coordination with the tax preparers. In addition, she prepares lender reports as required by loan agreements and, for property management clients, she calculates CAM (common area maintenance) charges. Her extensive experience and education in business provides her with the skills to handle due diligence for Van Rossum clients as they evaluate business opportunities.
